In this, their first CD, the singer Rita Saxmark and the guitarist Sabina Agnas have followed their hearts to create a truly diverse album filled with music from the sixteenth century to the present day. The disc weaves together ballads and compositions by Evert Taube, Carl Michael Bellman, The Beatles, John Dowland, Leo Brouwer, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Robert Burns, Vicente Emilio Sojo and Olle Adolphson with a sprinkling of traditional Swedish folk songs. By using many of their own arrangements, the duo breathe new life into some classic melodies.
